A Great Home in a Resort-Like Setting This gorgeous 4-bedroom/3-bathroom, split-level home has a fabulous view of the Calaveras River and expansive oak-covered hills and is located in private, one-of-a-kind settings. It has a combination of hardwood floors (living room, dining, stairs and landing and tile (lower stairs and entryway) and plush carpet (in the four bedrooms) for you to enjoy. Three discrete redwood balconies circle the top level of the home furnishing nearly a 360-degree view of the surrounding country. The wrap-around deck about the swimming pool is also a good place to repose after a day’s activity and drink in the rustic grandeur that abound the home: the mountains, a plethora of birds (including a flock of wild turkeys), deer and other animals, and the lap of green and a carpet of flowers along the foothills (during the winter and spring seasons, golden grass during the summer), the drooping mature oaks, the free form in-ground Geremia pool, the 20-by-20-foot covered gazebo and fenced garden with sprinklers and drip irrigation. It is open all year round and contains campgrounds, day-use, and picnic areas as well as launch ramps for boats and a marina. LAKE CAMANCHE--a 15-minute drive from the house is located at the western side of the Sierra-Nevada foothills. It is a sprawling aqua mass, covering 53 miles of shoreline, and bounding 12 square miles of water at a depth of 150 feet. It is pleasantly calm and beautiful to behold with its backdrop of the rolling hills and the sky-touching mountains beyond. It is great for fishing and boating and is open all year-round with several picnic areas and campgrounds. LAKE MELONES--A 30-minute drive from the house, Lake Melones has more than 100 miles of shoreline and is hugged by oak-studded foothills and rugged river canyon cliffs and is the located between Senora and the historic, gold-mining town of Angels Camp. It is a great place for boating, fishing, and camping, if you do not have your own, you can rent patio or houseboats for an afternoon excursion or week-long enjoyment. LAKE TULLOCH-–Located south-east of Valley Springs, at a distance of about 20 miles from the house, Lake Tulloch contains great shoreline with many alcoves, stunning table mountain ranges with a sparse population of mature oak trees. This lake is purported to offer one of the best water skiing lakes in California. As in all the others, the surrounding lake area offers picnic and camping grounds as well as fire pits. The G.P. Ranch is located in Valley Springs, CA. The G.P. Ranch consists of two independent homes, the host house and the guest house. The two-story host house on the left and the guest house on the right. The property has a beautiful view of the valley. At the ranch, there are horses, a pig and at times other animals. Adults and children can feed the animals, take walks, ride bikes, fish or visit nearby lakes in the area, etc. Within a relatively short ride, there are many fine wineries and restaurants. There is a beautiful complete golf course about one mile from the ranch. Special party arrangements (5 days before the stay) can be made upon request , to include a 10 person in-door hot tub. The charming victorian was built in 1908. The basement has been refinished, but the hand placed foundation rocks are still there. You are within walking distance to the historic Black Bart Restaurant, Gooneys saloon bar and grill, and the Metropolitan. The Calaveras Museum is right across the street from the Black Bart Restuarant. The room is a large private studio below the main house. You have use of the private patio that you enter through to enter your rental.

It is just one block from Highway 49 which winds both ways through town after town that will remind you of days gone by. You will enjoy a quiet neighborhood with trees that touch the sky and foliage long-established with flowers of every color. The cottage features patio tables and chairs in the back yard and two comfortable chairs on the front porch to watch the goings-on in the neighborhood. You will enjoy a comfortable home with two bedrooms furnished with cozy queen beds, ceiling fans, and with a full bathroom with a shower situated between the rooms. There is a comfortable living room equipped with a smart TV where you can sink into the classic and comfortable love seat and chairs while you surf your favorite channels. The kitchen is equipped with a pub-style table with barstools, a gas range, microwave, and refrigerator. For your breakfast enjoyment, there is a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of beverages to choose from. For your convenience, there is an additional half bathroom situated next to the sunroom in the rear of the house. The Gold Country is rich with places to go and things to do including shopping, antiquing, hiking, skiing, cave exploring, wine tasting, river rafting, or just relaxing and taking in the ambiance of the historic Gold Country. The cottage is within walking distance of our delicious Rolling Dough Pizza Parlor, Mescal Mexican Food Restaurant, and Treats Grocery Store.

The house is set back in privacy on the wooded property, drive past the seasonal creek and barn. Master bedroom is fully furnished, with a sliding door opening to center patio. It has it’s own private bathroom. Second bedroom is also furnished, with easy hallway access to the oversized guest bathroom and the laundry room (complete with washer & dryer). Sofa bed in the living room can be used to complete a total of sleeping accommodations for six. Spacious kitchen is fully furnished with all the tools needed to cook and serve. Woodburning fireplace with insert. Four stall barn, 2 round pens for horses, and full RV hookups. The South Shore of Camanche Lake is only a mile away, and has swimming, boating, and fishing, as well as the staging area for the Mokelumne Coast to Crest Trail, which follows the river as it rises into the Sierra mountains. The nearby town of Ione, home to many horse trainers, has recently completed an indoor arena, open to the public for a small fee. Exterior security cameras in use, part-time owner/caretaker may be on premises. At approximately 500’ elevation, it is well below the snow and frost line. In 2 hours, you can choose to head to Yosemite National Park, San Francisco, Napa Valley, or Lake Tahoe. A short drive east is the historic Sutters Millsite, where the Gold Rush began, and the Jumping Frog festival for Calaveras County, made famous by Mark Twain. Sacramento airport is a little over an hour away. Nearby are the almond orchards for Blue Diamond, and the great wine production at Lodi, Murphys, and Amador County.

Enjoy a relaxing getaway in the far west edge of Calaveras between the small towns of Clements and Valley Springs, only a few miles from the South Shore of Lake Camanche and other nearby lakes. This spacious 3 bedroom has an open floor plan that makes it a great gathering spot on the inside yet cozy for a day or night of watching movies or playing games. Kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you need to cook and serve. Coffee and Tea are provided as well. Every guest can expect a local bottle of wine and complimentary K-Kups of coffee and hot chocolate and many flavors of tea. There is a large redwood deck out the back doors of the living/dining room area and master bedroom that offers an outdoor living area as well. The fully covered deck wraps around the entire house offering gorgeous views that include breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The outdoor living area is 1500 square feet and fully covered for rain or shine moments. The deck has a few seating areas, one with a fire pit for chilly mornings and nights. There is a large dining table outside with bench seating and a bbq ready with propane and utensils to show off your grilling skills . The master offers a luxurious King bed with skylights above and a door out to the deck. The master bathroom has double sinks, a soaking tub and full size standing shower with a view of the hills. The 2nd bedroom offers a luxurious queen bed in a large bedroom that gives that master like feel as well, there is also a sofa seat that lays into a twin bed for a child or an adult that doesn’t mind being a 3rd wheel. The 2nd bath is directly across the hall with a full size tub and shower combo and double sinks. Our 3rd bedroom offers a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom and twin bed on top. It is ideal for the young or just young at heart. This room has toys and games for all ages that include LEGO’s, puzzles, action figures and barbies. This room also has a smart tv and DVD player with lots of movies to choose from. At the end of the hall is a bookshelf from adult novels to baby books, and lots of genres for in between. For the kids outside enjoyment there is a redwood playset with a slide and swing with an assortment of toys that include a power wheel, ride on toys and Tonka trucks to dig around with. With it best to stay at “home”, we have you covered to have a fun and memorable time at the Ranch! We have been adding games inside and out that can be played as a group, and we continue to add more! The middle Common Room has a double bed futon, a table that seats 6, dish tv, heater for winter and ac for Summer.Fans are in both bedrooms. Kitchenette has a microwave oven, convection oven and gas range with double sink. Dishes and cooking utensils are provided. The second room features a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on the top and a double bed futon Sleeps 5 at two to a bed. There are two bathrooms. one is inside the cabin and features a tub with shower, toilette, sink and a washer & dryer for your convenience. The second 1/2 bath is located outside the Rustic Country Cabin and has a bathroom and sink. For an additional cost, we can accomodate large parties. We have a 10ft x 20 ft tent and have sleeping bags and pillows with a limited amount of fold up beds. Or, bring your own tent for a fee. There is a bar-b-que grill available for your use and the cabin has a small fenced yard for your convenience. Banks (german shorthaired pointer) is older and is inside 99% of the time. Jett (female pocket german shorthaired pointer) and Tennessee (goofy male black lab) like to play and lounge around outside. They are not outside of our backyard unless we are outside with them. ***If your dogs do not get along well with other dogs then we ask that you NOT bring them. Your dogs: They are free to roam off leash. Our property is fenced but not secure if a dog really wants to escape. We find most dogs off leash just like to run in the grass. Your dogs can swim in the pond and the pool. If your dog is off leash you must keep an eye on them :) (Do NOT let them wander unsupervised) SUPER IMPORTANT: Do not let your dogs harass our cats, horses or goats. (It is normal for a dog to bark a few times at a horse/goat/cat but if it is trying to get to the horses or goats through the fences then you need to not take it close to the fence) Same with cats- do not let your dogs chase our cats- if they chase please keep them on the leash for the entirety of your stay. Having said all of that, 95% of dog owners do not even need to be told all of the above. Unfortunately, we have had some clueless dog owners so we are now are as upfront as possible with all doggie rules. Other occasional wildlife include deer, ducks, cranes, geese, wild turkeys, pheasants, otters, muskrats. Ducks and cranes are more common. Geese, wild turkeys and pheasants are seasonal. You will occasionally hear coyotes off in the distance at night. ***Spring and summer brings LOTS of wildlife. Especially summer! We have LOTs of birds- we once had a bird specialist randomly come stay with us and tell me all the different types of birds we have here...oh how I wish I would have written them all down. Or perhaps you know about birds and can help me categorize them? :) Fish: We have a 2 acre pond full of bass fish- fish as much as you want we just ask that you catch and release Kids over 12 are Welcome: This is a great property for kids to roam and experience semi ranch life. There is A LOT of water here. The pond is about 2 acres and there is a pool. We trust you know your children and can properly discern if this is the right place for them. :-) Over the years we have had tons of kids stay and enjoy. About us: We are entrepreneurs and live in the main house on the property. We have an office that is 2 miles away and Dori goes there to work a lot. Meredith is at the ranch doing ranch chores more often. We are both originally from cities and enjoy the peace and solitude this property provides. We are more than willing to be friendly and socialize or give you complete privacy. Meredith tries to do all noisy ranch chores during checkout hours :) Things to Know Before You Come: Secluded: We are 20 minutes away from a real grocery store so make sure to stock up before you come. There is gas station 2.5 miles away that has snacks and basic items. We keep tea and coffee and standard kitchen items stocked in the cottage. Connectedness: We have Wifi. Cell service is not very good. (Just a grade above terrible::) You can stand in certain places to get better signals but Wifi is best here for communication. PLEASE NOTE: the Wifi might go out while you are here and it might even take 24 hours to get it fixed- we do not have utility services here like in big city- aka things happen slower here! Update- it could even take 1 week to get fixed as we just had an event occur where the internet was down for an entire week. This seems to happen about once a month. We have guests here pretty much every night so if it does happen while you happen to be here we apologize in advance and we always work to get it up as fast as possible. Sometimes it's things like the olive branches needing to be trimmed out of the way of the beam! Most guests take it in stride and will do other things besides being online, however we have had some guests be very upset about this so we want to just give a heads up that this IS a possibility during your stay :) Ranch Life: The guest house is luxurious but this is a ranch with animals and wildlife and dirt and bugs :) Please bring appropriate attire to fully enjoy the ranch life. Please bring bug spray Seasons: Spring: Lots of green and flowers by June it is usually very warm Summer: July and August are HOT- bring your swimsuit or just relax in the air conditioned cottage and on the back deck. We can't over emphasize hot! AKA you will be in the pool or inside the entire day. It will cool off by 9pm Fall: lots of fall colors and starting to turn green when the first rains come. Cooler weather. Great time for wine tasting! Winter (November to March): A lot of rain and it can be soggy so bring boots. The rain makes the grass green but there are not as many flowers as in the summer. We enjoy a lot of fires in winter (Guest House is fully heated and air-conditioned and has a gas fireplace.) We certainly have all seasons here although it does not snow. We also make our own olive oil. If you are super interested, we can arrange for you to go one ranchette over to see the olive trees, do a tasting and talk to my 85 year old Dad about his trees :-) (he often wins gold at the prestigious Los Angeles International Olive Oil Competition- lol he is very modest so he wouldnt tell you but we will- its a BIG deal as its the #1 competition in the US and the fifth in the world) Tour is $100 per tour and includes a bottle of olive oil.

TINY HOUSE: Completely separate from the main house. (Approximately 100 yards away in the back end of property WITH THE HORSES!) It's the perfect place for a couple or single to relax and recharge :) Property: 10 acre Ranchette with a pond, pool, gazebo, walking trails and firepits. We are at the end of a dead end road and the back of our property borders 440 acres of county owned pasture land. All of the roads to get here are paved. We also have another guest house on the property that we rent via Airbnb. Dori and Meredith live in the main house on the property. We are booked almost every night and unlike a hotel with multiple rooms to offer people we are limited to our 2 units and need time to get things ready for arrivals :) Animals: 2 -5 horses, barn cats and our house dogs. Horses: The Tiny House is located within the fenced area where the horses roam. You might wake up and they be right by the front window or you might not even see them. They are sort of unpredictable except at feeding time. If you would like to feed and/or pet just let us know Your Dogs/Cats/Horses: Friendly fur animals are SUPER welcome here!!! Most dogs go off leash and absolutely LOVE being free! They are also free to swim in the pond and pool. Make sure to let us know if you are bringing a pet as we have special welcome packages for them :) Our Dogs: Banks, Jett and Tennessee. Banks (german shorthaired pointer) is older and is inside 99% of the time. Jett (female pocket german shorthaired pointer) and Tennessee (goofy male black lab) like to play and lounge around outside. We have a fenced back yard off our main house and while guests are here they use this area. ***If your dogs are not comfortable with other dogs then we ask that you NOT bring them- we used to try to accommodate but it is too hard now. Your dogs: They are free to roam off leash. Our property is fenced but not secure if a dog really wants to escape. We find most dogs off leash just like to run in the grass. Your dogs can swim in the pond and the pool. If your dog is off leash you must keep an eye on them :) (Do NOT let them wander unsupervised) SUPER IMPORTANT: Do not let your dogs harass our cats, horses or goats. (It is normal for a dog to bark a few times at a horse but if it is trying to get to the horses or goats through the fences then you need to not take it close to the fence) Same with our cats- if your dog wants to chase our cats do not let them off the leash. Having said all of that about dogs- 95% of guests that visit with their dogs are Awesome pet owners and any of the above warnings would never even need to be said! We have unfortunately had some irresponsible doggie owners and now try to be as up front as possible with dog rules to help those that are clueless about being a doggie parent. Other occasional wildlife include deer, ducks, cranes, geese, wild turkeys, pheasants, otters, muskrats. Ducks and cranes are more common. Geese, wild turkeys and pheasants are seasonal. You will occasionally hear coyotes off in the distance at night. Fishing: We have a 2 acre pond. Many people fish all day- we just ask that you catch and release :) Please bring your own fishing equipment! Birds: We have LOTs of birds- we once had a bird specialist randomly come stay with us and tell me all the different types of birds we have here...oh how I wish I would have written them all down. Or perhaps you know about birds and can help me categorize them? :) Kids: This is a great property for kids to roam and experience semi ranch life. There is A LOT of water here. The pond is about 2 acres and there is a pool. We trust you know your children and can properly discern if this is the right place for them. :-) Over the years we have had tons of kids stay and enjoy. We allow kids 12 and older. About us: We are entrepreneurs and live in the main house on the property. We have an office that is 2 miles away and sometimes go there but also sometimes stay home if there are ranch chores to do. We are both originally from cities and enjoy the peace and solitude this property provides. We are more than willing to be friendly and socialize or give you complete privacy. If we are traveling we have caretakers stay on the property should anyone need anything. (And Dori's parents are 1 ranch over) Our interactions with guests: Some guests we never even see. Some we end up having cocktails and dinner with. We are friendly but can sense when guests want to do their own thing! :) In regards to ranch chores- we try to do anything loud during checkout hours :) Things to Know Before You Come: Secluded: We are 20 minutes away from a real grocery store so make sure to stock up before you come. There is gas station 2.5 miles away that has snacks and basic items. We keep tea and coffee and standard kitchen items stocked in the cottage. Connectedness: We have Wifi. Cell service is not very good. You can stand in certain places to get better signals but Wifi is best here for communication. Please note: the Wifi might go out while you are here and it might take 24 hours (or more) to get it fixed- we do not have utility services here like in big city- aka things happen slower here! This seems to happen about 1 day a month. We have guests here pretty much every night so if it does happen while you happen to be here we apologize in advance and we always work to get it up as fast as possible. Sometimes it's things like the olive branches needing to be trimmed out of the way of the beam! Most guests take it in stride and will do other things besides being online, however we have had some guests be very upset about this so we want to just give a heads up that this IS a possibility during your stay :) Ranch Life: The tiny house is luxurious but this is a ranch with animals and wildlife and dirt and bugs :) Please bring appropriate attire to fully enjoy the ranch life. If during the summer please bring bug spray and sunscreen. If during the winter please bring boots for the mud

Our home sits on 22 acres overlooking a lush valley and winery below. Angels Camp is minutes away. Downtown Murphy's is full of quaint shops and wineries - 20 min drive up hwy 4. San Andreas, Sonora and Columbia and New Melones all within 30 mins. Enjoy the snow at Bear Valley or Snowmobiling - 1 hour and 15 minutes - weather permitting. Or if you are looking to just relax, enjoy the wrap around porch watching the sunset, walking the property enjoying the wildlife and enjoying the quiet. This is our active 2nd home. The Sierra Foothill Region is rich in agriculture, vineyards and winemaking as well. There are literally hundreds of places to indulge your gastronomic desires in Amador's own Shenandoah Valley, El Dorado's Fairplay and Pleasant Valley areas and Calaveras Counties wine regions. The outdoor enthusiast will enjoy underground cave tours nearby, beautiful scenery and great places to hike and explore. Kirkwood Ski Resort is also in Amador County, about 55 miles away. Casa Pavone is a farmhouse built in the early 1900's that was meticulously renovated to maintain its old-world charm while offering all the conveniences of modern day. The house is situated in the heart of the gold country with rolling hills and oak trees as far as the eye can see. It sits on approximately 17 acres offering guests ample privacy for relaxing, family get-togethers, and outdoor exploring. Despite its secluded atmosphere, Casa Pavone is only 5 minutes to town for your shopping and restaurant needs. The property includes the main house, a separate (detached) studio/game room furnished with a 3 in 1 game table (offering air hockey, ping pong, and pool), a wine cellar, and a shed stocked with outdoor chairs. The master bedroom on the bottom floor has a queen bed, luxurious claw foot tub, and a separate shower. On the top floor you will find 2 bedrooms. One is furnished with two twins that can be converted into a king with a mattress pad connector (provided). The other room has a comfortable queen bed. (Please note: the upstairs rooms have the A-frame roof line). The stairs open onto a landing area that contains a twin day-bed that pulls out to become a king. The day-bed drawers are stocked with games and legos to entertain the kids. There is also a TV located opposite the day-bed with a Kindle Firestick for multiple streaming/pre-loaded movie options. The bathroom on the top floor has a vintage claw foot tub (no shower). The kitchen is well-equipped for all of your cooking needs including a five-burner gas range. The dining area is furnished with a drop-side farmhouse table that has multiple leaves allowing it to seat 4-14. Outside, relax on the wrap around porch in the perfect seat for every time of day. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the rocking chairs as the sun rises or sip on a glass of wine in one of the wicker armchairs as the sun sets. You can also escape to the wine cellar to indulge your guests in your favorite bottle of wine. This custom built cellar has a staging area for your pouring needs and/or cheese and bread nibblers. The yard offers ample fun for the little ones complete with a bamboo forest maze. Enter on one side of the bamboo and find your way through the maze as you exit to the grass below and the perfect swing chair for relaxing or swinging. Bring your book and relax in the hammock swing or have a seat on one of the custom carved log-chairs surrounding the fire pit while the kids make s'mores. Throw on your hiking boots and explore the property and small creek below (dry in the summer months). La Casa Pavone means "The peacock house" in Italian, and it is named after a beautiful (wild) peacock that adopted our property as his own about 6yrs ago. It is believed by many cultures that peacocks are a symbol of patience, kindness and luck. They are said to be protectors or guardians of the properties that they choose to call home. We have named our peacock Pete and he is quite the character showing off his beauty every chance he gets. Even though he tends to act like a domesticated peacock because he is very calm around people, please remember he is a wild animal. Do not let children chase him or come too close trying to touch him. He tends to follow our 3 boys as they explore the fields seeming like a protective dog so at times it is hard to remember he is a wild animal, but please respect his space. An unexplainable peacefulness will capture your soul here, but if you are able to escape the spell it casts on you then there is lots to see and explore nearby: Water fun: New Melones Lake- boat rental and recreation (10 mins away), Lake Tullock (20 mins away), Camanche Reservoir (45 mins away), New Hogan Lake (45 mins away), White Pines Park & Lake (40 mins away) Golf: Greenhorn Creek Golf Course (5 mins away), Saddle Creek Golf Course (20 mins away), La Contenta Golf Course (45 mins away), Forest Meadows Golf Course (30 mins away) Gold Country Fun: There are several wonderful wineries located in and between Angels Camp and Murphys, CA. Inside the cabin: One queen size bed and one full size blow up mattress with bedding provided. Dog bed, electric heater, wood burning store, wrap around table that can sit 4-6 guests, stove, microwave and small refrigerator or ice box and extra small cooler for storing drinks or going for a drive. All you need are groceries and we have a store on the way you can do that on the way called Senders. Where you’ll find local wines, big ribeye steaks cheaper than the Bay Area, Deli with great sandwiches and anything you can think of they have it plus the extra nik nak if you wanted a souvenir. We really love this place and come up every other weekend to clean, split wood, clean fallen trees and enjoy the nature. We try to keep the price low, so others can also enjoy getting away too.
